What the plugin processes

When you ask ChatGPT to build a book, it sends the selected memory text, optional date labels, optional first name or nickname, book title and optional dedication to our hosted tool. We process those fields to return a book preview to the same conversation. No account, email address, full birth date, payment information or access to your private journal is required. Share only memories you have permission to use; leave out medical records, credentials, government identifiers and unnecessary sensitive details.

Where information goes

OpenAI processes your conversation and tool results under your ChatGPT settings and its policies. Vercel hosts the Babyrazzi tool and processes the request to deliver its response. We do not call another AI service, send your memories to an email provider, or use them for advertising. Our tool does not access the paid journal database.

Storage and retention

Memory Book has no server-side book database. Book contents are processed in memory for the request and are not deliberately retained or logged by the application after the response. Hosting infrastructure can retain technical request metadata such as IP address, request time, endpoint and response status under its own operational retention schedules. We do not add behavioral analytics or advertising trackers to this editor. Copies of the input and result may remain in your ChatGPT conversation until removed under OpenAI’s retention policies.

Editing in the standalone website happens in your browser without sending editor contents to our server. The optional Save draft on this device button stores a copy in browser local storage until you clear it or your browser removes it. Clear saved draft removes that stored copy; the open draft stays until you close or replace it. Embedded previews are temporary. Downloads remain wherever you save them until you delete them. Browser storage and chat history are not a guaranteed backup.

Your control

You can edit the draft, download your book, import an editable copy, clear saved browser data and delete downloaded files. Manage the conversation and plugin connection in ChatGPT. To request access, correction or deletion of support correspondence or other personal information we hold, contact us. Support messages are retained as needed to resolve your request and meet applicable obligations. We may verify ownership before acting. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, withdraw consent or complain to your data protection authority.

Adults, children and security

The editor is for adults preserving family memories; it is not directed at children under 13. A child mentioned in a book does not get an account or access. Processing relies on providing the requested service and keeping it secure, and on consent where required. Providers may process information outside your country. This is not end-to-end encrypted storage, and no transmission method is completely risk-free. We do not sell your memory content.
