Disney’s 50th Animated Feature ‘Tangled’ Released On DVD

As a huge fan of Disney’s animated films, I was excited to get my hands on a copy of ‘Tangled’ on DVD.  I spend a lot of time at the movie theater, but somehow missed ‘Tangled’ while it was at our local cinema.  So, the kids and adults of our family gathered to watch it together last weekend.  Tangled is based loosely on the story of Rapunzel with a few twists here and there – good twists!

The movie features the voices of  Mandy Moore (“A Walk To Remember”) as Rapunzel, Zachary Levi (TV’s “Chuck”) as Flynn Rider, Brad Garrett (“Everybody Loves Raymond” ) as Hook Hand Thug, Donna Murphy (“Spider-Man 2″) as Mother Gothel, and Ron Perlman (“Hellboy”) as the Stabbington Brothers.

We all truly loved every minute of this movie.  It was funny and sweet and had a great message.  It was gorgeous as far as coloring and artwork go, too – just visually beautiful.  Mandy and Zachary did an AMAZING job with the songs – AMAZING.

There are some great bonus features on the BLU-RAY/DVD combo pack like a behind the scenes look at how the animated film was made, extended versions of the songs, deleted scenes, two alternate opening scenes, and a short video introducing Tangled as the 50th animated feature film by Disney.

Have you seen Tangled yet?  Did you pick up a copy of the DVD – it’s available now!

Mandy Moore And Zachary Levi Read To Kids At The Disney Store

As part of the promotion of their new movie “Tangled“, Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore spent time reading to kids at the Disney Store in New York City. They look like they are having a ball with the kids.

Mandy and Zach are the voices of the lead characters in this “reimagining” of the classic Rapunzel tale.

The long-haired Princess Rapunzel has spent her entire life in a tower, but when she falls in love with a bandit who was passing by she must venture into the outside world for the first time to find him.

Are your kids excited about this movie?  I have to say that every clip and trailer that I’ve watched looked really good!  We’ll definitely be seeing this one!  It is scheduled to hit the theaters on Wednesday.
