The Duchess of Cambridge Gives Birth: The Royal Baby Has Arrived – It’s A Boy!

The Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) has given birth to the royal baby!  It’s a boy!!

Their son, the first child for William and Kate, was born at 4:24 p.m., weighing in at 8 lbs., 6 oz.  No name is being shared just yet.

Their new son is third in line to the throne, following the baby’s father, William, and grandfather, Prince Charles.

We’ll keep you posted on any new details that emerge!  The palace will be placing the official announcement near the gates sometime yet this afternoon, according to reports.

Royal Baby Update: Prince Charles Is Excited To Become A Grandfather

Everyone has royal baby fever this week, and grandfather-to-be Prince Charles is at the top of that list.  As Duchess Catherine was released from the hospital this morning, her father-in-law wished her good health and shared his happiness at becoming a grandpa!

Prince Charles shared with reporters that the baby will be a loved addition to the royal family.   “I’m thrilled.  It’s a very nice thought to become a grandfather in my old age, if I can say so.”

I’m sure it’ll be exciting for everyone to have a baby in the Royal Palace again!
