‘Teen Mom’ Maci Bookout Gets A Puppy For Bentley

MTV’s Teen Mom sure makes it look hard to raise a toddler as a young adult. But to add a puppy to the mix only seems disastrous.

For cast member Maci Bookout, it may be a disaster waiting to happen. Bookout recently acquired a puppy from the shelter, named Henry, for her son Bentley.

Maci recently tweeted, “that damn puppy henrie had me n @kyleking100 up alllll night long! im bout die gaaah.”

‘Teen Mom’ Maci Bookout Wants Normal Childhood For Bentley

Even though Teen Mom is a huge hit for MTV, star Maci Bookout is planning her son Bentley’s early retirement in hopes of giving him a normal childhood away from the cameras.

“I don’t want to steal his childhood,” Maci says. “I don’t know if being on TV in elementary school would be difficult for him. I want him to have a normal life.”

Despite the hefty $60,000 check per season, Maci knows there’ll come a time when her son will start to question his fame.

“I think there’ll come a time,” she worries, “when he’ll be like, ‘Mom, we’re not normal! Why does everyone want to take my picture? Why does everyone know my name, but I don’t know them?'”

But the doting mom doesn’t take the show for granted at all.

“Without the show, I would’ve had to have a full-time job and be in school full-time and rarely ever get to spend time with Bentley,” Maci says. “It’s been difficult, but it’s also been a big blessing.”

‘Teen Mom’ Maci Bookout Found It Awkward When Kyle Met Ryan

For Teen Mom star Maci Bookout’s men Kyle King and Ryan Edwards, it’s a long road to friendship.

“Kyle’s not a big fan,” Maci tells Us Weekly. “I think it just had a lot to do with the way Ryan treated me.”

So why did the two boys finally meet? ”I think 50 percent of it was wanting to meet the guy who was spending so much time with Bentley, and the other half was so he could feel in charge – like he had a say-so in something,” Maci says.

Ryan and Kyle met last September, which was taped for this season of the series. “It was so awkward,” she reveals. “I just ignored it and let them be fake-nice and pretend like they’re men.”

And a lot has changed in the past nine months. “They get along fine now,” she adds, “but it’s not like they call each other up.”

Time heals all wounds.
