SHAKIRA
“Nobody Told Me Diaper Duty Is So Hard”

Shakira Is All Smiles In Paris

It looks like Shakira has been opening up more and more about the challenges of first-time motherhood. The chart topper, who gave birth to her son Milan earlier this year, says that she can’t wrap her head around how demanding diaper duty has been for her. She says:

“I didn’t expect babies to need so many diapers. Nobody told me they needed to be changed so often. It takes a lot of energy from you. But I love it. I’m really enjoying every bit of it. It’s not as idyllic as everybody tells you — but not as horrible as everybody tells you. It comes with a full package. It comes with lots of joy and also lots of fear.”

Aww! I think many mothers out there can relate, right Babyrazzi readers?

Wishes She Took A Maternity Leave

Shakira Is All Smiles In Paris

Not only is Shakira finding motherhood as no walk in the park, but apparently she’s having a hard time with the LACK of time on her side, too. The chart topper recently complained that she didn’t get “four months of maternity leave just like every other woman on this planet.” Well, maybe every other woman in this planet except for in the United States, if you ask me. Here’s what she says about getting her post-baby body back and going to work so quickly after giving birth:

“I mean, I guess our mothers and grandmothers weren’t under the pressure that women of today are after delivering a baby. My dad says that there’s nothing better than a little meat on the bone! He likes my mom a little chubby. So she was never under the pressure to get back to her old weight, and she never did, actually! But it’s different, I have a career, and that’s the only part that’s been a bit stressful because I knew that I’d have to come back here to do ‘The Voice’ two months after I delivered a baby. I didn’t have my four months maternity like every woman on earth has. So I’m not trying to complain, but it’s been a process full of challenges in my life. I’m still a few pounds over! Zumba has been pretty great for me even during pregnancy. I did it almost until the end.”

It looks like this celebrity family doesn’t waste any time! New celebrity mom Shakira only gave birth about two weeks ago, and she’s already on her feet and cheering her man at his game! The chart topper was spotted taking her newborn son Milan to a Barcelona soccer game to see her baby daddy Gerard Pique score some goals on the pitch! The proud mama wrote on her Instagram account:

“His first official time going out, in Camp Nou and watches his daddy score!”

I don’t know where Shakira gets her energy from, but kudos to her for being such a great, supportive girlfriend and baby mama!

And…. it finally happened! Shakira is now a new mom. The chart topper announced today on her official website that she and her baby daddy Gerard Pique are the proud new parents of their new bundle of joy, a boy they named Milan.

“I’d like to ask you all to accompany me in your prayers on this very important day of my life. Shak,” she tweeted this morning, in both English and Spanish, about the impending birth.

From what we’re hearing, both mommy and baby are doing great. Congrats to the new parents and we can’t wait to see Milan’s first pics!
