Brrr! Sarah Jessica Parker and son James wrap up warm for the school run on a blustery fall morning in New York City. The busy mom let practicality win over high fashion on the windy morning, donning a thick quilted jacket and Ugg boots to ensure she stayed toasty warm on her morning stroll.

Love how SJP and Matthew seem to switch off the school walk each day. They seem so normal, I love it. I like how they are not making the kid nutso either…same coat each day. I know it sounds dopey, but there has to be some pressure to dress this kid to the nines each day, no???

It must be a lot of pressure to always been scoped for fashion…she’s pretty much a fashion icon. She can hardly take a break. At the same time, if she didn’t get all this attention, both good and bad, she wouldn’t have the same kind of career, fame, money, etc. I guess it’s just a part of the job description. I wonder in SATC3 is coming???

Sarah Jessica Parker and her son James walk to school in good spirits. SJP took her time to fix James backpack as they walked through the New York streets talking and laughing.

So, today it’s SJP and not Matthew.  Wonder how they make up the “walking James to school” schedule. Sometimes it’s a juggling act, though that sounds crazy. I would assume that these 2 always have some kind of project cooking, and the erratic way of an entertainer’s life can make life’s normal occurrences a bit more complicated than it should be. Sounds absurd, but even the life of a blogger family can be like this…not a normal schedule whatsoever.  Hey, there’s worse things in life.

By now James Wilkie is probably used to having his photo taken on the way to school every day.  One nice thing is that he and his celebrity mom, Sarah Jessica Parker, have a daily diary of what they wore.  No more wondering if you already wore that certain sweater on Monday – you can just look it up online! 

Speaking of sweaters, I love the one she’s wearing above.  She wears a lot of grays and blacks, but she never looks “blah”, that’s for sure!
