Rebecca Romijn Talks About The Sacrifices She’s Made For Motherhood

Model and actress Rebecca Romijn has made quite a few sacrifices since becoming a mother to her twin girls, including drinking less wine. Rebecca, who is a mother to her girls Charlie and Dolly, 3, tells Health Magazine:

“I’ve had to cut down on wine drinking, big time. I’d fall asleep for an hour, and then be wide awake! Every once in a while, I’d toy with the idea of, ‘I can be a cool mom: a party girl at night and a mom in the morning.’ But I’d regret it every time. Because those girls wake up at 6 a.m. no matter what time you come home! Sleep is so important. But as soon as you become a mother, you’re always a little bit awake, because your one ear is always sort of listening.”

Rebecca Romijn Talks Halloween & Regaining Her Pre-Baby Body!

Rebecca Romijn was recently a guest on The Talk where she opened up about celebrating Halloween, potty training her twins, Dolly and Charlie, as well as what she does to lose those post pregnancy pounds!

“I’ve always gone really scary [and] put a Grim Reaper in the corner with a low light over it, but you can’t do that with kids,” Romijn tells the ladies of The Talk. “You know how you can go in two different directions for Halloween? Really scary or really cute Halloween — I’m now going really cute Halloween!

“I’ve been taking them to get manicures and [Dolly’s] been painting her nails black,” shares the Possessing Piper Rose star. But apparently, Dolly isn’t completely into the whole Halloween thing yet.

“All of a sudden [she] decided that everything Halloween is too scary. She’s been taking all of the pumpkins off the porch and putting them on the side of the house,” Rebecca added.

As far as her body is concerned, Romijn says, “I’d gotten very fluffy for the whole childbearing experience. You do that when you get pregnant, and then you find out you’re having twins, then you’re nursing them for eight months, and then you’re finishing up their meals. I’d forgotten how much I was really supposed to be eating…and then fast food started making its way into their diets and I felt like I was getting lazy about food preparation.”

Romijn has cut out starch, dairy, and sugar from her diet along with doing yoga.
