While Nicole Richie is in NYC this weekend, Joel Madden is on daddy duty.  He tweets:

Home alone w/ my kids,Not so bad. Is there an on/off switch 4 these little things or do they just keep going? Nicole pls tweet instructions.

I guess M&M’s for breakfast WAS a bad idea. I feel like I’m in the toddler remake of 28 days later..

It’s ok Nicole I’m in the panic room waiting for them to tire themselves out.

Pink’s Child To Be Named After Drink

Pregnant pop star Pink has decided to name her baby after her favorite whiskey.

The singer and her husband Carey Hart are expecting their first child in the spring (11) and although they don’t yet know the gender of the baby, Pink admits they’ve already decided what they are going to call a boy.  Pink reveals she wants to wants to name a son after the Jameson whiskey brand.  She tells Access Hollywood,

“My dad’s name is James, and my brother’s name is Jason. (Hart and I) are both Irish, Carey’s middle name is Jason, (and) Jameson – we like whiskey. That’s a no brainer.”

But the couple has yet to make a decision on what to call a baby girl, adding,

“We’re all over the place. I’m all about meaning, and Carey feels like he had a girl’s hair cut and a girl’s name, and he doesn’t want kids to have a weird name. I have to get him on the boat for originality, so I’m working on him.”

Singer Pink Misses Fighting

Pregnant pop star Pink has put her rowdy days behind her now she’s expecting, but she misses “scrapping” as she hasn’t had a “real good fight” in years.

The feisty singer is preparing to become a mother for the first time with her husband Carey Hart, and is settling down into family life.  Pink is adamant she has calmed down a lot in recent years, but still yearns for an explosive argument because life can become “boring” without the odd punch-up.  She tells Britain’s The Sun,

“A real good fight – it’s been years. And you know what? I miss it, I really miss scrapping. I’ve become quite boring in my old age. I stopped getting in fights, I stopped beating people up.

“I mean, back in the day people could just punch each other, get over it and be friends the next day. Now it’s lawsuits, it’s boring, just boring.”

Everyone gets a bit quite as they age I think – and the way Pink makes her fighting sound, it sounds as if she still wants to be a kid in the school yard getting into brawls after 3 o’clock.    Do you think she’ll pass her fighting skills onto her child?

Pink Isn’t Planning To Settle At Home Once Baby Is Born

When Pink and Carey Hart become parents in a few months, don’t expect the couple to slow down any.  Pink says that she’ll continue to tour and make music and you won’t find her nesting at home too often:

“As soon as the baby can say ‘Mama,’ I’m going on the road. We are going to be a traveling family gypsy band with garlands in our hair.”

Pink recently finished up a two-year-long tour and is going stir crazy being at home, she says she finds all of this spare time “completely strange”:

“I walk around in circles. I clean a lot, I really don’t know what to do with myself when I’m not on the road.”

Celebrity Parents Attend The American Music Awards

It’s a celebrity picture overload!  Celebrity parents and kids turned out last night for the American Music Awards last night.

Jada Pinkett Smith was escorted by her two talented offspring – Jaden and Willow.

Usher and his protege Justin Bieber showed off their many awards backstage.

Jenny McCarthy was gorgeous in an animal print mini dress.

Celebrity moms Sheryl Crow, Heidi Klum, and Christina Milian showed off their gorgeous red carpet looks.

Parents-to-be Pink and Carey Hart were both glowing with pride over their

Country singer and father of two, Brad Paisley, took home the award for Favorite Male Artist – Country Music.

Pink And Christina Aguilera Talk Babies And Playdates

Pink and Christina Aguilera chatted on Ryan Seacrest’s show this morning about motherhood and pregnancy.  Ryan put the two celebrity moms on the air together so Christina could congratulate Pink on her pregnancy:

“Congratulations! I just heard the amazing news,” Aguilera replied. “I’m so happy for you. Join the club.”

Pink replied:

I feel like I really am joining a club,”

Christina then wanted to know about Pink’s morning sickness:

How are you feeling? Do you have morning sickness? How’s it feeling for you?”

Pink shared that she has been feeling really great and hasn’t been sick so far.  Lucky girl.

When Christina suggested that they get their kids together for playdates, Pink laughed and explained that two of her good friends aren’t as close as they once were because of a falling out over kids.

The reason I laughed is I was with these two girls last night who used to be best friends until their kids started fighting,” Pink said. “It’s pretty funny what that does to people.”

Have you had to let a friendship go over kid-related stuff?  It happens quite a bit, unfortunately.
