Philip Seymour Hoffman Dead At 46; Leaves Behind Three Children

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" - Los Angeles Premiere

Philip Seymour Hoffman, Oscar winning actor and father of three, was found dead yesterday morning in his apartment in New York City.  Philip was just 46 years old.  Initial reports are blaming a heroin overdose as the cause of death.

Philip leaves behind three young children that he shared with longtime partner Mimi O’Donnell, Cooper, Willa and Tallulah.  Our thoughts are with Philip’s family and friends.

Philip is probably best known for his roles in movies like Almost Famous, Capote, and Boogie Nights.  He was currently working on part 2 of the Hunger Games: Mockingjay films.  Reportedly he had a few days of filming left, but Lionsgate insiders say that the movie’s release date won’t be affected at this point.
