Olympic competition for swimming is over in Rio, and the swimmers are wasting no time in going back home! That turned out to be a very good thing for Ryan Lochte, given that a Brazilian judge issued an order to hold his passport so he could be questioned further about his claims that he was robbed at gunpoint after he had returned to the US, but Michael Phelps is also home. Guess where he went to hang out with his family as soon as they returned?
Michael Phelps has already made history at the Rio Olympics after winning a record 21 Olympic medals on Tuesday night. All of us are cheering him on, but I’m sure this is his #1 fan: his son Boomer Phelps!
Olympic athlete Kerri Walsh and her husband Casey Jennings are expecting their third child together. Kerri revealed on Today that she was already five weeks along when she competed in the London Games this summer!
Kerri admitted that she and her husband decided to start trying to conceive right before the Olympics and she didn’t know that it would happen so fast!
“I thought it could have been the stress of the games and travel throws your schedule off. At some point, you’re late and then you start feeling something. And I definitely started feeling something in London. ”
Kerri, who shares two sons (Joseph, 3, and Sundance, 2) with her husband, says that this time around has been different already. “This little one is kicking my butt! The first two were pretty easy, but with this one, I’m sick every day. I’ve got some awesome acne. I just feel different.”
Congrats to the expanding family!

It looks like baby fever is not only spreading through Hollywood, but with celebrity athletes too! Olympian softball player Jennie Finch is expecting her third child. Here’s what she writes in her blog for People Magazine:
A few days before that crazy week that included MLB All-Star, the ESPYs, the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame induction for our 2004 Olympic Softball Team, a Battle on the Bayou fundraiser to benefit the Wounded Warrior Foundation, and a softball camp, I realized I’d been feeling more tired than usual and just kind of, well, strange.
I looked at Casey and said, “I have that feeling again and I think I need to take a pregnancy test.” He said, “I’ve had that same feeling” so off to the store we went. Sure enough, it came back positive.
We were so excited! I love my boys, and I just didn’t feel like I was finished having babies, so this pregnancy is truly another blessing. We’re so grateful for our family as it is, and to think that it will grow even more this winter is amazing.
