Nicole Kidman may look like a wholesome mom, but her domestic skills needs some ironing out.
Mom to daughter Sunday Rose, and wife to husband Keith Urban, Kidman admits she’s not the best ironer.
“I am a terrible ironer,” says Nicole. “I burned a shirt when I was trying to iron for a trip.
“I feel like people have the idea I only do certain things, but I’m like every other mom, dashing around and worrying about her kids all day.”

Love this family. I hope this is one of those rare Hollywood relationships that truly last. Maybe the Kiwi and Aussie pairing will be the glue that holds them together! One thing’s for sure, it’s great to see them in action.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban might need to prepare for another entertainer in the family. Nicole shared that daughter Sunday Rose, 2, is already belting out the tunes like her daddy.
[Keith] was actually playing the piano just before we left and Sunday Rose was dancing around the living room.”
“She sings incessantly. She has a repertoire of about 30 songs: ‘The ABC Song,’ ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, Traffic Light,’ ‘So Long, Farewell’ – she was singing that as I left the house.”
Keith is, of course, a proud papa:
She’s a wonderful singer, I think. But I’m your typical proud Dad as well … I’m not biased at all.”
Sunday is also having fun with her mom’s makeup:
She loves makeup. She’s not allowed to wear it out of the house, obviously, but pops a little blush on and some lip gloss.”

Nicole Kidman almost walked away from her gritty new drama Rabbit Hole after giving birth to daughter Sunday Rose – because she couldn’t portray a mother grieving the loss of a child so soon after welcoming the tot.
The Hollywood actress began working on the project, about a couple which loses its baby, in 2006 after reading rave reviews about the David Lindsay-Abaire play the film is based on. Kidman admits turning the stage show into a big screen film became a labor of love, but she felt the need to step back from the movie after becoming a mum to little Sunday in July 2008. In an interview on The View, she says,
“Four years ago I read a review of the play and it was a beautiful review… We approached the playwright and he let us option the play and that was before I was pregnant.
“And then I got pregnant, because it takes a long time to make films, particularly ones like this, and I went, ‘I can’t go anywhere near this!’ Hormonally and everything else I was like, absolutely not.”
But, after struggling for years to win financial backing for the project, all the pieces began to fall into place – and Kidman knew then that she couldn’t quit Rabbit Hole. She says,
“Then the financing became available and it was a confluence of events and everything came together and I went, ‘Do I run away or do I stay?’ Now we’ll see how committed I am, and I said, ‘I have to make it.’”
And Kidman will be thankful she didn’t pass on the movie – her performance has been hailed by critics and she has been tipped to land a nomination for Best Actress when the 2011 Oscar nominations are announced.

This is one good looking family, man. It’s a crazy, in theory, dynamic though…no? A cool country rocker married to a very beautiful and seemingly proper Australian actress. Hey, whatever works. Sometimes opposites not only attract but work well. It’s chemistry and good fortune…and I love seeing it. They seem to be happy, so I hope it lasts for a long time!

Sunday Rose may not be giving Willow Smith a run for her money anytime soon, but Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman may have a budding artist on their hands.
“She came down to the studio the other day, and I put little headphones on her, and she came to the mic and she did two songs, she did ‘ABC’ and she did ‘Twinkle Twinkle,’ beginning to end. It was so cute to see the little headphones on her. It was cool.”
Keith has a new album coming out in November and he says that he may not directly mention his wife and daughter, but their inspiration is in almost every song:
“I haven’t written literally about Sunday, but there’s a deeper purpose that’s come from my marriage and now from fatherhood. So, I’m drawing inspiration from that sense of purpose and a feeling of love that I’ve never had in my life before, and that has come from both my girls.”
