Molly Sims Does Some Christmas Shopping With Her Baby Boy

Molly Sims Takes Brooks To Barneys New York

Molly Sims and her son Brooks Alan, 6 months, hit up the Barneys New York store in Beverly Hills over the weekend.  Most likely getting in some last minute Christmas shopping, Molly was seen pushing Brooks in his stroller as they left the store.  This will be Brooks’ very first Christmas!

Molly recently completed a guest star stint on Brian Austin Green’s new hit comedy, Wedding Band.  She just completed work on the comedy/drama film “Chez Upshaw“.  The movie’s summary: “The story of a married couple who turn their bed and breakfast lodge into a resort for assisted suicides.”  Sound interesting?

Motherhood Brings Out Molly Sims’ Competitive Side

Molly Sims gave birth to her son Brooks in June and the new mom shares everything from getting competitive on milestones to keeping in shape post-baby.

Molly says that Mommy & Me class can bring out her competitive side.  “We have been going to Mommy and Me classes, which are interesting because you start to be in competition. My husband’s cousin just had a baby so that makes them second cousins. He was only three weeks older than Brooks … and he was crawling. He was almost standing up. I was like, ‘Okay, we have got to move it. We’ve got to work on tummy time!’”  But Molly says that it just isn’t going too well.  “He is not going to be able to crawl well because he doesn’t like tummy time.”

The mom of one says that she’s shocked at how much time she had to do little things – like shower – before she gave birth. “I used to take these long 30 minute showers. Now it’s like two minutes — in and out.  That’s the one thing that has definitely changed.  I don’t even know what I did with all of my time before.”

Molly has been committed to staying healthy and in shape after her pregnancy (and before).  Her best advice to moms: “Even if it’s cold outside — get on a treadmill [or] go to the gym. The biggest trick when you are in a gym is to … talk to a friend on the phone. I’m telling you that I have burned the most miles talking to my girlfriend! I vent about my husband and how I have no time anymore.”

Molly Sims Says Life After Baby “Is The Hard Part”

According to Molly Sims, it’s life after pregnancy that starts getting tough, and not before. The new celebrity mom, who gave birth to her son Brooks earlier this summer, says that while being pregnant is no walk in the park, it’s the part afterwards that really keeps you on your feet (and I’m sure more than a handful of moms out there can agree!).

“Everyone talks about the pregnancy — and don’t get me wrong, it sucks, it’s hard, you get huge — but let me tell you something, no one talks about after. That’s the hard part,” the former model told reporters at Tracy Anderson‘s The Pregnancy Project DVD launch in New York City on Friday.

“You have to think about a baby first, and you have to get off all of that fat and weight — and that’s a whole thing on its own. It’s literally the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”

We couldn’t agree more with you, Molly. :-)

Molly Sims Shares New Pictures Of Her Baby Brooks

Time sure is flying by for new mom Molly Sims. The actress and model posted several new photos of her 3-month-old son Brooks on her official web site this week. The celebrity mom also wrote:

“It may still be 90 degrees in L.A., but I am ready for fall (and all the cool weather fashion it brings with!). But before we dive head first into October, I wanted to share some photos from last month with you so that you could see what baby Brooks and I have been up to.”

“Since a baby’s first few months fly by, we’ve been trying to capture every moment…”

Check out our photo gallery below. Brooks is so cute, isn’t he?

Molly Sims Opens Up About First-Time Motherhood

As a first-time mother, Molly Sims says that motherhood has not only been her greatest experience to date so far, but it has also given her plenty of surprises too! The former model and actress has recently took to her blog to talk about her baby Brook’s first few weeks and how it has so far changed her life. Here’s what she writes:

“My first seven weeks as a mama have been both amazing and hard!” Molly writes. “There’s a lot of sleep deprivation involved, but I guess that comes with the territory! Brooks has been sleeping in 2 ½ to 3 ½-hour shifts, so I’ve been learning to nap when he naps.”

“Scott and I love dressing him up in all the cute little outfits he has—sometimes he ends up wearing three different outfits in a day—and blue and green are definitely his colors,” she writes. “He has also loved holding onto our fingers from day 1. He’s so cuddly and curious, and loves to be swaddled. We’re constantly taking pictures, but hey—do you blame us?!”

Molly says that while preparation for baby is important, she advises new parents to follow their intuition.

“I think that no matter how prepared you are—no matter how many hours you spend researching strollers, stocking up on organic baby food, and decorating the nursery—there’s simply nothing that can prepare you for the feeling that comes with holding your baby for the first time. Preparation is still important of course, but when you stare back at your baby’s little button nose, 10 perfect fingers and 10 perfect, little toes, maternal instinct kicks in and you’ve just got to start going with your gut!”
