Julianne Moore, actress and mother of two, shares that taking a part in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay movie was a win-win for more than one reason. Julianne explains why in a new interview with SheKnows and shares her holiday plans, too.
Julianne shares that location played a small part in picking this character in this film, “I’m lucky that my job is flexible. I work at home in New York City as much as I can. I either take things in Manhattan, or things that I can go back and forth easily. With Hunger Games, I go down to Atlanta and shoot for a couple days, then I’m back home for three days, and so on.”
But the biggest reason she’s taking on the part of President Coin is that she and her kids, Caleb and Liv, really loved the books, “The Hunger Games is a lot of fun. My kids are at that age that they read and loved the books. So I am thrilled to be involved in something they enjoy.”
Julianne shares that her Christmas is fairly low key, but Thanksgiving is a whole other story! “Thanksgiving is the big holiday for me. We always have it our house. This year, we had 33 people for Thanksgiving in my backyard! It was so wonderful. I love cooking for Thanksgiving but don’t love cooking for Christmas. So, we always have a simple Christmas Eve dinner, open the Christmas presents in the morning and then go to basketball game on Christmas Day.”
