Mayim Bialik And Her Husband Call It Quits

Actress Mayim Bialik and her husband Michael Stone have announced their separation.  The Big Bang Theory star and mother of two shared the news on her blog.

After much consideration and soul-searching, Michael and I have arrived at the decision to divorce due to “Irreconcilable Differences.” Divorce is terribly sad, painful and incomprehensible for children. It is not something we have decided lightly.  The hands-on style of parenting we practice played no role in the changes that led to this decision; relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose.

The main priority for us now is to make the transition to two loving homes as smooth and painless as possible. Our sons deserve parents committed to their growth and health and that’s what we are focusing on. Our privacy has always been important and is even more so now, and we thank you in advance for respecting it as we negotiate this new terrain.

Mayim had shared recently that going back to work full time had not been easy for them, but that’s not to say it played a part in their split.

We wish them the best during this difficult time.

Mayim Bialik Put Her Natural Labor Techniques To Use After Her Accident

Well here’s one super actress and super mom who knows how to put her super powers to work. Mayim Bialik reveals that she put her natural labor techniques to good use during a recent car accident she was involved in.

“[I used] a lot of deep breathing,” she tells Access Hollywood. “Everything I used for natural labor, I absolutely used at the scene of this accident.”

The actress also adds that she “really reaffirmed my faith in pain with a purpose and the meditative properties, the ability to lower your blood pressure, which women do in labor. It absolutely is what I used to get me through all stages of this [experience].”

Mayim also says, “I remember I thought, I’m a mom, this is not happening. I have kids waiting for me. It’s my son’s birthday – and it was. That was my first thought.”

Mayim Bialik Finds Way To Play With Her Kids After Car Accident Injury

‘Big Bang Theory’ star Mayim Bialik was involved in a scary car accident a few days ago that left her hand severely injured.  After undergoing medical treatment, the actress was released and headed off to work the very next day.  Mayim says that it’s been difficult not having the full use of both hands, but she’s managing with the help of her husband and kids.

The Emmy-nominated mom shared that they’ve been creative when it comes to play time:

“Thank God my kids are old enough to walk on their own pretty much everywhere. The little one is four and doesn’t really get that I can’t play actively but we found things I can do with them.  I can play bingo lying down.”

Mayim says her husband has been amazing support:

“My husband is an at-home dad and he is amazing. I’m his third child for these months.”

Mayim is such a trooper and didn’t miss any days of work!

Mayim Bialik Talks Balancing Kids And Work

‘The Big Bang Theory‘ star and attachment parenting advocate Mayim Bialik says that being back to work has been very hard, but she’s trying to find balance and couldn’t do it without her husband Michael Stone.

After earning her doctorate in neuroscience and then getting married and taking care of their two sons Miles, 6, and Fred, 3, Mayim decided to give acting another try:

“I honestly tried acting again just to see if I could work sporadically and be home with the boys and, a year later, here I am. I can only do it because my husband has made the commitment to be home with our boys.

When I think of those working moms who are pumping in between, to me, that’s a working mom. I’m a happily working mom, but it’s really that my husband is home and parenting our kids.”

She says the change hasn’t been easy:

“We’re both kind of juggling it and working it out together. It’s hard. It’s very hard.”

The hilarious mom of two says that her boys are not impressed with her Hollywood events:

“[my boys] don’t like when I [get dressed up] at all. Miles said, ‘You look like a clown, like a girl clown.’ That’s what he said. Thank you, Miles.
