A baby carrier can be a lifesaver if you’re a new parent. When you’re exhausted or you just need to get a few things done, it can make all the difference in your day. If you’re on your second, third or in my case 4th child, a good carrier is a necessity if you want to be able to take care of the new baby and still function for your family. If your carrier is secure, comfortable and easy to use, you’re so much more likely to use it, get your hands back and still keep your baby close, whether it’s just to make your two year old a snack or get out of the house. A carrier can also make it easy to feed your baby on the go if you’re breastfeeding or calm a screaming baby so that everyone can get a break. With a newborn a huge plus is being able to easily move that no longer screaming, finally sleeping baby from the carrier. If you can find a carrier that allows you to do all of this and more, it is an absolute keeper.
The Morph really is easy to use and very comfortable to wear. It offers superb adjustability for your baby, so that your newborn can have the perfect level of head support and the correct leg an arm positioning that can be adjusted as they grow. Once your baby has sufficient head control you can either fold the headrest down for more freedom or turn your baby around to face out and see the world. The pod is really made with a baby’s comfort in mind with breathable fabric and padded leg holes. A washable bib is included that stores in the harness, which can be used facing in or out to protect you or your carrier from all of those lovely things that tend to spill forth from a new baby. For further protection, or just a bit of color, you can add one of the liners. The harness is surprisingly easy to adjust to a perfect fit and the whole package offers a very secure feeling, so you always feel like your baby is safe. The unique hand sleeve on the front of the pod makes it easier to securely transfer the pod on and off and is another example of the superb attention to detail. It is possible to leave the Pod in place once you’re adjusted properly if you want to pop your child, especially an older one, in and out. I didn’t get a chance to test this carrier with a newborn, though I really wish it had been available much sooner so that I could have used it with my 4 when they were smaller. I did, however, test it with both my 18 month old and my 2 year old (32 months), facing in and out and it was very comfortable with both despite the fact that they are both just under the top weight limit. Many carriers that are perfect for newborns become uncomfortable well before the baby hits 20 pounds, but the Morph should take you through to the weight limit with ease. It’s more likely that your baby will want out of the carrier before he or she can no longer fit.
Obviously, most important is how a carrier functions, but it never hurts if you can look good even when you have a baby strapped to your chest. The very modern design offers a bit of style to go with all those fabulous features, so this is one carrier that anyone will wear comfortably in every way. The Morph doesn’t just look cool, which it does, it functions as amazingly as it looks. This is a fantastic carrier.
