John Travolta And Kelly Preston Take Their Kids To Paris

This is an exciting time of year for Kelly Preston and her husband John Travolta.  Today Kelly and John celebrate their 21st wedding anniversary!  And next month Kelly turns 50 years old! (Which seems crazy – she doesn’t look a day over 40!)

The Travolta family headed to Paris to celebrate the occasions together!  Kelly, John, and their kids, Ben and Ella, were spotted this afternoon as they left their Paris hotel to do a little touring around the city.

Kelly Preston Opens Up About Losing A Child

Actress Kelly Preston is opening up about her son Jett’s tragic and unexpected death from 2009. The celebrity mom reveals how she felt during her son’s death three years ago and how she’s been able to move on in her life.

In an interview with Lifetime’s Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet, Kelly says:

“I’ve had enormous loss. Nobody should have to lose a child. It’s unfathomable. But I’m here to say that you can get through it. You can live again. You can want to live again.”

“In Scientology, we have what’s called ‘auditing,’ and that helps you to address things in your life and to strip them away and work through them. It’s a path of spiritual enlightenment. Also, it helps rid the mind of painful experience completely. Through that, the people at my church literally held my hand and got me through. . .I will forever be indebted. You never forget, but I feel like the weight of the world was lifted.”

“There are still things that come up, for sure, but I am able to live. And to want to live. I can laugh. I’m — for the most part — happy. That’s the greatest gift ever.”

Kelly Preston Gets Candid About Her Past Drug And Alcohol Use; Says She Changed For Her Kids

Kelly Preston, actress and mother of two – Ella and Ben, shared recently that she used to drink almost daily and even admits that she took drugs and smoked.  The busy mom says she gave it all up so that she’d feel better and be a better parent:

“I’m so different, too. Now I don’t drink anymore. I don’t smoke anymore. I don’t do drugs anymore. All of those come with an ‘anymore.’ I used to do everything and a lot of everything.”

“With drinking, I just decided that I wasn’t always at my best. There were times where I drank too much, for sure.”

Kelly, who is also John Travolta’s wife, shared that she disliked “not being myself with my kids, or just with my life 100 percent of the time. And when I didn’t drink, I felt amazing, and I woke up feeling amazing every single day.”

Kelly Preston Opens Up About Breastfeeding

At age 49, Kelly Preston is still enjoying all the joys and perks of motherhood, including breastfeeding her son Benjamin. The actress opens up about how she bonds with her son and how she doesn’t mind nursing him around the clock because of the closeness she feels with her child. She tells People Magazine:

“When I stop, it’s going to be really hard on me. I love nursing so much.”

“I love the closeness and knowing that I’m giving him the best as far as nutrients and antibodies. And he really loves it, too.”

John Travolta Donating A Jet In His Late Son’s Honor

John Travolta, a pilot and avid aviation enthusiast, is donating one of his personal jets to an aviation museum in Georgia in honor of his late son Jett.

Robins Air Force Base spokeswoman Chrissy Miner says the actor will donate a G-2 Gulfstream executive jet to the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins.

The museum plans to use the jet as part of an upcoming airshow, as well.

John and Kelly Preston lost their son Jett, 16, back in January of 2009 after he suffered a seizure in the Bahamas.
