Jessica Simpson sat down with MomFeeds to dish on all things pregnancy weight and post-baby weight loss.  The celebrity mom of two (daughter Maxwell and son Ace) opened up about why she chose Weight Watchers, finding her body confidence the second time around and much more!

On why she chose Weight Watchers, “When I had Maxwell I gained a lot of weight. More than I thought I would. And when it came time to try to take it off, it felt overwhelming. Stepping on the scale and seeing that number was really scary. With a toddler on the run and an infant to look after, I knew I needed a plan that’s simple and fits into my life along with the support that’s so important to my success. I know Weight Watchers works so I got on the plan again.”

On being photographed after baby #2 (son Ace), “I’m a lot more confident this time around. With Maxwell I didn’t think about the weight I was gaining  and the first time I stepped on a scale and looked at the number…I mean that wasn’t a number I had ever even considered…and I was faced with a pretty serious truth. But since I had already done Weight Watchers, I didn’t put on as much weight with Ace.”

Jessica’s advice for moms, “I’m definitely no expert or the perfect mom. But I’ll tell you the thing I tell my friends: the way you love your child is just so natural, so instinctive, that if you just listen to your heart, you’ll be a great mom…so just relax and enjoy every second of it. ”

Jessica Simpson Admits That Her Body Isn’t Bouncing Back “Like A Supermodel”

I think this is just making me love Jessica Simpson even more. I love it how she doesn’t pretend to be someone she’s not and is completely honest about her body image and her weight gain from her pregnancy and how unlike some other celebrity moms out there, her baby weight isn’t melting off as fast as she would hope. The new mom tells USA Today in a new interview that her body isn’t bouncing back “like a supermodel” and that she’s losing weight one week at a time but is in no rush to get that “perfect body” right away. Here’s what she says:

“Nobody wants to talk about their weight,” she says. “For me, I have had to come to a place where I am comfortable with myself. I’m a mom now, and get to be a role model for this beautiful little girl.”

“I’m not a supermodel. My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel. I’m just your everyday woman who is trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter, her fiancé and herself.”

Jessica Simpson Determined To Shed All Of Her Baby Weight

It looks like Jessica Simpson is completely focused on shedding all of her baby weight, even if that means dropping 50 pounds in five months. The former chart topper has been spotted going to the gym on almost a daily basis by the paparazzi and according to sources close to her, it’s been no easy task. They tell In Touch Magazine:

“She is as focused and determined as ever. She’s so emotional. She doesn’t want to leave her baby. Sometimes she just starts crying. It’s hard for her.”

Pregnant Jessica Simpson Tackles Sore Subject Of Gaining Weight

In the December issue of Lucky magazine, mom-to-be Jessica Simpson opened up about gaining weight and how it has helped her fashion empire.

“I got so much scrutiny for putting on extra pounds, but I think that the decision not to make myself anorexic was actually great for branding,” she explains. “Because when you’re really, really skinny, not everybody can relate to you.”

Simpson adds: “I like the way I look.”
