Kate Hudson Talks Kids And London Life In Harper’s Bazaar

Actress Kate Hudson opens up to the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar about falling for fiance Matt Bellamy and why Gwyneth Paltrow is her go-to gal for all things London.

On meeting her fiancé, Matt Bellamy:  “I Googled him right away! And it was shocking, ’cause he was like two completely different people.” Even after two months of dating, “I would still tell him, ‘I look at the footage of you playing, but getting to know you, I can’t connect the dots.’ ” She remembers the first time she saw him in concert, at a stadium in Paris. “I didn’t realize what I was walking into; I was just in awe of his ability and his talent. And then to know him on the other side of it, and how sweet and simple and loving he is.” She smiles. “You know how people say that when you meet somebody you love, you feel at home?”

Kate shares that there’s no rush to tie the knot just yet. “We’ll do it eventually, but I want it to be right. I don’t want to just do it, you know what I mean?”

Kate and Matt have purchased a house in London and intend on living in both places:  “It’s two very different lifestyles, but I feel really lucky to be able to expose the kids to both. But it takes planning, and for somebody like me who wants to fly by the seat of my pants all the time. … I can be such a gypsy, but with the kids in school, I’m learning how to be more organized.”

Kate shares why Gwyneth Paltrow has been a huge help with her transition to London life:  “She’s been my go-to about where to get things done—grocery shopping, a good mani-pedi, you know, all that.” She continues, “I look up to Gwyneth and how she has been in her life. She’s the real deal.”

Gwyneth Paltrow Is Done With Changing Diapers

It looks like Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t one of those celebrities who is interested in having a big family like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Instead, the actress, who is married to Coldplay’s Chris Martin, says that she’s done with changing diapers and that two children is plenty for her. Here are a few snippets of a recent interview with her:

On having more children: “I don’t know if I can go back to diapers. I don’t think so. I would love to, but I sort of feel like I don’t know if I can go back to diapers and things like that. I’m so past that, I think I may have missed the window. I think if maybe when Moses was three, I would have done it, or four even, but now he’s six and such a guy, I feel like I’m out of the baby phase. If it happens, it happens.”

Becoming a mom completed her: “I feel like motherhood has given me all my happiness and a real life: a husband, my children and everything that’s invested in that. Every woman is different, but for me that’s where I’ve gotten my real happiness.”

But she’s a less attentive mother in Los Angeles: “When I’m in LA, I’m always packing things in. I tend to be really busy – my doctors are out there, Apple’s orthodontist, that kind of thing. Plus, that’s where I focus on movie stuff and I see all my friends. It changes more – I tend not to spend all my time with the kids.”

She’s so stressed out and busy now: “I find that I get stressed out when I try to do too many things at once, and so I try not to. I feel very stressed out if I’m trying to cook and help the children with their homework and answer emails and talk to my lawyer or whatever. I feel really overwhelmed. So I try to just do things one at a time.”

Gwyneth Paltrow Talks Motherhood In New Interview

During a television interview, celebrity mom Gwyneth Paltrow opened up about the ups and downs of motherhood and how she tries not to “lose herself” while parenting her two children, Apple and Martin. Here are some highlights from her sit down with In Conversation With Amanda Cadenet:

“When I’m tired, when my chips are down – that’s when I don’t parent the way that I want to parent. I can get impatient and at the end of my rope and just threadbare. And I hate that and I hate feeling out of control, even if I’m just saying, “That’s enough!”… It’s not the way that I would aspire to be.”

She adds, though, that even though she beats herself up over these impatient mommy moments, there is probably some value in them.

“I do really believe that part of our job is to equip them for the world. And we can’t make everything okay for them, we can’t take away all of their suffering. It’s not good for them. They need to be able to know that people lose their tempers and people have bad days and it doesn’t mean that you don’t love them, it doesn’t mean anything. It’s just that we’re all human. But of course I beat myself up endlessly when [I do get impatient].”

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Daughter Apple Dies Her Hair Pink

It looks like someone might be following their famous mom’s sense of style here. Actress Gwyneth Paltrow posted this picture of her two children, Apple and Moses, rocking out at the Jay-Z concert in London over the weekend. And what’s more, it looks like Apple, who just turned 8 this past week, has died her hair pink, too.

I guess Gwyneth is more of a liberal mom than we thought. Tell us Babyrazzi readers, what have been your experiences with allowing your children to dye their hair? As a parent, is it a yay or nay for you?
