Celebrity Baby Birthday: Moses Martin Turns 5!

Moses Martin, son of actress Gwyneth Paltrow and rocker Chris Martin, is readying to blow out five candles today!  Moses was born in NYC but now resides in London with his parents and big sister Apple.

Gwyneth shared about motherhood:

“I’ve learned so much from being a mom about the kind of person I want to be, the kind of woman I want to be. Motherhood has taught me mindfulness. If you just parent on instinct, you’ll screw your kid up for life. You have to be so mindful”

Moses was spotted at Legoland in London with his mom and a friend over the weekend – perhaps that was in celebration of his big day?

Gwyneth Paltrow Discovers Great Great Great Grandfather Was Kabbalah Master

Gwyneth Paltrow has discovered a fascinating family fact while tracing her roots for hit TV show Who Do You Think You Are? – her great great great grandfather was a beloved Jewish holy man.

The actress tracked her ancestors back to Barbados while taping the show, which airs tonight (4/1)  – but the biggest surprise came when she returned to New York and discovered her great great great grandfather was a “master of Kabbalah” – the mystic Jewish offshoot Paltrow studies today.

Documents show he was “a miracle worker” who once saved his community from a raging fire through his faith.  She said,

“This is all kinda blowing my mind.”

I wish I could trace back to my ancestors.  I think learning about your family tree like this is pretty cool and interesting.  You never know what you may discover!

Tina Fey Defends Working Mom Gwyneth Paltrow

30 Rock star Tina Fey can relate to actress Gwyneth Paltrow, and is protecting her from some internet backlash regarding being a working mother.

“Any time you talk about being a working mother and you complain about it in any way, people eat your face,” Fey tells InStyle.

“I remember reading some interview where Gwyneth Paltrow said something like, ‘I missed my kids on the set one day and I was crying.’ And I thought, Yeah, I’ve totally done that. But on the website where I read it, there were these furious comments. ‘But you’re a movie star!’

“Yes, it’s much worse for a mom serving in Afghanistan. Of course. But there’s just no forgiveness.”

Fey — who is mom to five-year-old daughter Alice with hubby Jeff Richmond — can understand what its like balancing work and family.  She recently said,

“It is less dangerous to draw a cartoon of Allah French-kissing Uncle Sam. . . than it is to speak honestly about [working moms],” she said.

The funnywoman jokingly added how she handles both.

“Sometimes I just hand them a juicy red apple I’ve poisoned in my working-mother witch cauldron and fly away,” she quipped.

Mom Blythe Danner Is Worried About Multi-tasking Daughter Gwyneth Paltrow

Veteran actress Blythe Danner has warned her daughter Gwyneth Paltrow to “take care” of herself, because she worries the Oscar winner is taking on too many projects.

Paltrow juggles her acting career with her duties as a wife and mom-of-two and she also runs a lifestyle website.  Now, thanks to her performances in movie Country Strong and on TV show Glee, Paltrow has also become hot property in the music world.

Her impressive performance of Cee Lo Green’s Forget You has reportedly landed her stage time with the soul singer at the upcoming Grammy Awards.  But worried Danner fears Paltrow is taking on too much.
Danner tells Eonline.com,

“She’s a multi-tasker. We had dinner last night and I said, ‘Honey, please, it’s great that you multi-task, but it’s a lot of stress to do that, and I want you to take care of yourself. You’ve just got to.’”
