Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani’s Kids Are Following Their Musical Footsteps
It’s every parents’ wish – to have their kids grow up and take after their footsteps. Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani seem to have no problems in that department as their boys, Kingston and Zuma, are showing signs of interest in the music industry.
Gavin told People, “Kingston still likes the drums, but he’s into everything now. He’s always busy doing things. We’re just trying to give them lots of opportunities. Zuma is really into the guitar. If I’m playing he’ll come and jam with me – he’ll sit with me, it’s really fun. He moves his hands up and down. His positioning and charisma are amazing. He’s so relaxed, looks great and he’s three!”

Gavin Rossdale Admits That Every Parent Makes Sacrifices
Gavin Rossdale is back on the road with his reunited band Bush, and he knows exactly the hardships one must face when juggling a family and a career. Rossdale has two sons, Kingston and Zuma, with wife Gwen Stefani. So how do these two musicians make it work?
On balancing work and family: “I just accept that those are the sacrifices you make and it’s inevitable that anyone who has kids makes sacrifices… And my kids get the benefit of me working at home at the studio… Nothing’s perfect and everything has its price. But I think that I will want to instill the value in them of applying yourself and the value of sacrifice, and what it takes.”
On who the boys take after: “You want them to take after you when they do things well. When they do anything bad you wanna blame the other genes, but really they’re so phenomenally their own people. That’s almost the most incredible part of it, that you can see elements of both of us in both of them… I’m happy to say they’re got really good, funny characters and they’re polite.”
On how he and Gwen juggle their busy schedules: “We muddle our way through it. It’s just about the communication and also just the space. The one thing that’s always been so good for us is to understand each other’s timetables and commitments and responsibilities. She’s in a huge, high-powered, creative set-up with her band and she’s making a great record, and I can confirm it’s great. But that takes time and effort, and no one wants to leave their kids for work.. Too much in this world is, people assume that things come naturally, when I think it’s an essential life lesson to learn that it takes trying, try again, try again, it takes reworking it, it takes a lot of effort, it’s not just a life of dilettante.”

Celebrity Anniversary: Gwen Stefani And Gavin Rossdale
Rockers Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are celebrating nine years of marriage today!
The two met when Gwen’s band No Doubt was opening for Gavin’s band Bush. They married on September 14, 2002, in London and held a second wedding two weeks later in L.A.
Gwen shared earlier this year that her marriage is one of her biggest successes:
“The first time we ever kissed was right around Valentine’s Day—we were in New Orleans on tour. So, yeah, I always think about that because it’s unbelievable that we’ve been able to stay together. I feel so proud of us—it’s one of my biggest achievements.”
The celebrity parents share two sons – Kingston, 5, and Zuma, 2.

Celebrity Baby Birthday: Zuma Rossdale
Celebrating his third birthday today is Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, son of Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale.
Zuma was born on August 21, 2008 via C-Section and weighed in at 8lbs, 8oz. He’s the youngest son of the rocker couple – brother Kingston turned 5 back in May.
These shots of Zuma were taken yesterday as he did some shopping with his nannies and even got his nails done, all while wearing his favorite superhero costume. So cute!
