SALMA HAYEK
Red Carpet Event Is Family Affair

'La Belle Et La Bete' Paris Premiere At Gaumont Opera

Salma Hayek and her husband Francois Henri Pinault brought their daughter Valentina along for some red carpet fun this weekend!  Salma, Henri and Valentina posed together as they made their way down the red carpet together yesterday.  The Pinault family were attendances for the premiere of  ‘La Belle & la bete’ at Gaumont Opera.

I was going to comment on how little we’ve seen of Salma over the past year or so.  I went to look at her iMDb page and see why she’s been off the radar: she’s been working non-stop!  Salma has six movies in the fire right now!  Several are completed, but a few others are set to begin soon.  It looks like Salma’s going to be on our big screens a lot in 2014!  Check out this list!

  • The Tale of Tales (pre-production)
  •  Everly (post-production)
  •  How to Make Love Like an Englishman (post-production)
  •  The Prophet (filming)
  • Kamila (voice)
  •  2014 Muppets Most Wanted (completed)

Salma Hayek’s Husband And Daughter Celebrate Her Tribute In Deauville

Despite only being 46 years old, actress Salma Hayek was given a tribute in honor of her career at the38th Deauville Film Festival in France, with her family by her side. The program took a look back at Salma’s many roles and she talked about her many experiences in Hollywood and her hope for the future – directing!

Salma teared up while talking about some projects that meant a great deal to her, she shared with crowd, “I’m going to scare my daughter.  She’s never seen me cry!” But Valentina remained unfazed and took photos of her famous mom.

Salma is proud of her achievements: “When I started, everyone said there was no chance for a Mexican actress with an accent to have a career. Maybe a maid in a small part, because if it’s a maid with a big part, the maid is blonde! Maybe the wife of a drug dealer with one line or just crying. Today you can be the queen of the drug cartel!” (Her role in the film Savages).

Salma also shared that she’s ready to hop in the director’s chair, sharing that she has “maybe 15 minutes left as an actress.”  She says directing is “what I like to do the most the most the most. But please don’t write about it because nobody wants to hire an actress who wants to be a director. Forget about it, it’s death.”

Linda Evangelista And Henri-Francois Pinault Battle Over Child Support

Model Linda Evangelista and Henri-Francois Pinault (husband to Salma Hayek, who also shares a 4-year-old daughter with him) are battling in court over child support of their son, Augustin, 4, who was conceived while Pinault and Hayek were on a ‘break’.  Up to this point Henri-Francois (a billionaire) hasn’t paid a dime in support, according to reports.

Linda is asking the court for $46,000 per month in support.  She says the money would go for:

  • an estimated $80,000 per year for a round-the-clock nanny
  • approx. 175,000 per year for drivers (who are retired police detectives)

The judge denied her request for an additional $7,500/per month for vacations.

Pinault’s lawyer argued that Linda makes plenty of money to support the child:

“She testified that she wants to have a 24-hour nanny because she does not want to be alone with the child … Miss Evangelista, you should understand, has a worth of more than $8 million, and she earned, last year, $1.8 million.”

Hmmm..where I live, it doesn’t matter what the mother’s income is – child support is based a set percentage of the father’s income.  I’m surprised he hasn’t had to pay anything for the past four years.
