It looks like someone is about to take flight with their famous mom here! Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman was spotted arriving at LAX airport in Los Angeles, Calif. to catch a flight with her daughter, Sophia on Tuesday afternoon.

According to former Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman, parents are meant to be “stewards to their children.” The celebrity mother-of-two shares Khalil Gibran’s poem On Children, ”about parents really just being the stewards of their children.” Saying it “brings tears” every time she reads it, she goes on to share her thoughts on raising children with “autonomy” and the freedom to explore their worlds.
“I had an educational therapist tell me to try and think of my girls as foreign exchange students,” she writes. “This was in service of letting go a little bit, and not having every issue be a referendum on my children’s character and by extension my own moral character.”
She adds: “She said our daughters are in my husband’s and my care for a limited period of time and we are here to teach, nurture and guide them to flight. As parents we are caretakers really, not creators.”

There’s no doubt that she’s just like one of us. Former Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman is sharing her mom confessions. Felicity, who has two daughters, Sophie, 11, and Georgia, 10, says she sometimes felt guilty for working “24 hours a day” and not spending enough time with her family. She says:
“I started thinking about how many times a day I feel like I failed, or handled something badly, or lost my temper,” Felicity shares. “For example yesterday, Sunday, Bill was out of town and the girls and I were making Belgium waffles.”
She adds: “We were going to make them from scratch with fresh fruit and sprinkled confectionary sugar on top. But the recipe was somewhat involved and well, things got messed up. The sugar got added to the flour and not the egg yolks, the fluffy egg whites went all over the kitchen.”

“It felt like a vacation from Mothering, and yet I was wracked by guilt. As a matter of fact, there was very little I didn’t feel guilty about. My kids would cry when I left for work and oftentimes cry when I got home. Even when I went to audition for D. H., I remember them crying as I scooted out, leaving my husband in charge of the evening bath. But I loved my job, still love it, and am lucky to have it.”

Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy were both presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday! Their daughters, Sofia, 11, and Grace, 10 (next week), were on hand to celebrate with their famous parents.
Felicity’s hit series ‘Desperate Housewives’ is in its final season and William is currently starring in Showtime’s ‘Shameless’.
