Just like any second-time parent would know, it’s always best to get your sleep in before your newest bundle of joy arrives before it’s too late to catch up on those zzz’s, right? Well, that’s exactly what actor Chad Lowe is doing as his wife Kim is due with their second child sometime next week!
“I’m trying to bank some sleeping hours, which is a little tough,” the Hollywood star tells PEOPLE. “I have been out buying a lot of stuff to organize [everything] we have. It is amazing how much stuff babies need. It is incredible.”
However, the most important thing on their list is preparing their 3½-year-old daughter Mabel for her special role as an imminent big sister.
“We’ve been introducing her to the concept and she seems to be very excited,” Chad says. “She knows she’s got a big job and a lot of things to teach her sibling.”
