Emily Maynard Opens Up About Being ‘The Bachelorette’

Former Bachelor contestant Emily Maynard recently sat down with host Chris Harrison to discuss her much-publicized breakup with Bachelor Brad Womack. And it was in that interview that Maynard instantly became America’s sweetheart all over again. Many are even hoping she becomes the next Bachelorette.

But Maynard is setting the record straight on that issue when she sent a twitter message to former Bachelorette contestant David Good saying, “@DaveLGood I don’t want to be the bachelorette.”

Maybe that will end all the rumors of her future participation with the show.

Emily Maynard & Brad Womack Are Officially Dunzo!

It’s official. Brad Womack and Emily Maynard are over.

“We’re no longer engaged,” Maynard told People magazine.

Maynard will appear on a special segment of the July 11 episode of The Bachelorette where she will sit down for an interview with host Chris Harrison.

Womack will not be a part of the interview, but he did tell People, “The demise of our relationship was completely my fault.”

“I would get so angry and would feel almost violated,” Womack says.

“I would keep those feelings bottled up, and by the time I had the chance to speak to Em . . . I would let that negative emotion come flooding out, and it was almost as if she was being attacked.”

Many are speculating that either Womack will return for a third stint on The Bachelor or Maynard will reign as the next Bachelorette. Only time will tell, but ABC says that both Maynard and Womack remain under contract.
