The Disney Princess Royal Salon App

If your children are anything like mine, I’m sure they love playing with iPads and tablets at home. While I try my best to limit the use of our iPad with my young children, sometimes mom just needs that extra ten minutes to get a blog post done or to get dinner ready without too many distractions. Well, luckily Disney has a brand new app that will help our little ones prepare for a royal ball some of their princesses will never forget (while letting mom finish her work, too!)

Let’s face it, Kate Middleton has set the bar high when it comes to royal beauty. In fact, her perfectly styled, long, lustrous locks recently put her at the top of women’s wish lists when asked what female celebrity’s hair they most envied. Kate has found her “happily ever after” in Will, but because every girl wants to look her best in the event her Prince Charming lie in wait, Disney Publishing’s created the Disney Princess Royal Salon app, a brand new tool which truly puts beauty in the eye of the app holder.

With the new iOS app available today for $4.99 in the iTunes Store, it’s up to users to ensure Belle, Cinderella, Ariel & Rapunzel look their very best before heading off to an invite-only party.

Aspiring princesses can select the girls’ hair color, style, outfit, and more, mixing, matching, and using their creativity to piece together the perfect enchanting combination. The possibilities are endless and the memories are easily preserved and shared – simply save creations to the app’s scrapbook & email to friends & family.

While trying the app for the first time over the weekend, my children loved it and even I had a little fun creating new outfits and picking out accessories for some of our favorite Disney princesses. I was surprised to see how flexible the app was to really place your selected jewels anywhere on the princess and play with new hairstyles, too. Plus, my kids loved playing with it, too. I think we’ve got another favorite app here! Thanks, Disney!
