Denise Richards’ Adoption Was “Meant To Be”

Denise Richards is well aware how tiring adoption can be. But when she held baby Eloise in her arms, she knew it was meant to be.

“A lot of people ask me why I adopted another girl and not a boy. I honestly had no preference whether I had a son or daughter. I knew what was meant to be would be, and I was blessed with a beautiful baby daughter,” the actress says.

“The process took two years and there were many times during that I felt discouraged. But I always had faith that the right baby would find us (my daughters and me). I’ve always felt that children choose their parents, and Eloise found me a different way.”

“My daughters, Sami and Lola, feel so blessed to be big sisters to Eloise,” Denise says. “They love giving her a bottle, picking out her outfit and making her smile. I couldn’t imagine better big sisters for Eloise. I love my girls so much – three is a charm!”

Denise Richards’ Late Mother Inspires Adoption

Very few details are known about the baby girl that Denise Richards adopted. Even her closest friends were shocked by the news when Richards announced last week that she had adopted a baby girl from the United States. But it was her late mother’s passing in 2007 that inspired the surprise adoption.

“Denise has wanted to adopt for a long time and this was something she talked about with her mom before she passed away,” a friend of the actress tells Popeater. “She wanted to wait to start the process until things were calm with her custody of her two daughters she has with Charlie, (Sam, 7, and Lola, 6) and mourning her mom.”

Denise started the adoption process back in 2009 and didn’t care if she got a boy or a girl. Eloise Joni, named after her late mother Joni, is a newborn that joins big sisters Sam and Lola.

“She’s got the biggest heart in the world and plenty of love to share,” a friend says of Denise. “She learned from her own mom how to be such great parent. Family is more important to her than anything. Sam and Lola are the best big sisters in the world, so Eloise is one lucky little lady.”

Denise Richards’ Daughter Is A Huge Lady Gaga Fan!

All the attention may be on Denise Richards’ youngest baby girl, Eloise Loni, and now another one of her daughters, Lola, is becoming a monster!

Don’t worry! Lola isn’t actually becoming a menace for mom Denise, but she definitely is a huge fan of Lady Gaga – a pop star who often refers to her fans as “little monsters.”

Richards tweeted this message on Saturday (July 2), “I asked my daughter Lola why she’s so messy she said “I was born that way” I didn’t quite know what to say after that..lol!”

Born This Way is one of Lady Gaga’s most infamous songs. And it looks like Lola is a huge fan!

Denise Richards “Overjoyed” By Adoption

Following in the footsteps of Sandra Bullock, many were shocked to find out that Denise Richards had secretly adopted a baby without the knowledge of the media.

The process of adopting Eloise Joni “has obviously been going on for quite some time.” A source says that Richards kept the whole adoption process “very quiet.”

Richards already has two daughters, Sam, 7, and Lola, 6, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen. Eloise is the third child for this single mom which makes the process that much more special to Richards. She did this on her own.

The timing of the adoption is still unknown. It could have been weeks already that Denise had Eloise at home, but what urged the actress to finally share the news?

“At some point, they wanted to leave the house!” the source says, adding, “The whole family is thrilled. Denise is a fabulous mother and the girls are great big sisters.”

“Thank you for all your sweet messages,” Richards tweeted Wednesday. “The girls and I are over the moon, and so is my dad, Grandpa Irv.”
