Britney Spears Is Engaged!

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick are engaged!  Jason popped the question last night – on his 40th birthday – and Britney has reportedly accepted! A source shared with People:

“He surprised her after she gave him his gifts and after they had cake last night”

“She’s very happy. It’s going to be a great weekend,”

Jason and Britney have been together since 2009.  This will be Britney’s ‘third’ marriage, technically.  She divorced Kevin Federline back in 2006 and then there was that quickie Vegas thing with her ‘friend’ Jason Alexander years ago – that only lasted a day.

Britney has two sons from her previous marriage, Jayden James and Sean Preston.

Heather Locklear And Jack Wagner Call Off Engagement For Kids’ Sake

Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner announced last week that they had decided to call off their engagement, but no reasons why were given.  Today TMZ reports that stress of wedding planning and the couples’ children were behind the decision to split.  Jack told TMZ:

“Jack says he and Heather decided a blended family was not a good idea, because their kids were too young and it would be too disruptive.  So on top of the wedding plans, Jack had to spend time alone with his 2 sons, and Heather spent her remaining time with daughter Ava.”

Jack also tells the site that he and Heather are still in contact and love each other very much.

I give them a LOT of credit for not trying to force life changes like this on their kids.  And for taking the time to see these issues BEFORE tying the knot.  Too many people focus on the “big day” and not the life after…

Kat Von D & Jesse James’ Engagement Back On!

Shortly after TLC announced the cancellation of Kat Von D’s show LA Ink, Von D and Jesse James both posted photos of themselves wrapped in each other’s arms.

Then, Jesse James made it official by confirming the news of their re-engagement to PEOPLE. “Sometimes you are only given one chance in life,” he told the magazine. “It was up to me to open my eyes and see it. That girl is my chance. I will never stop fighting and striving to hold on to her. Showing her how special she is, and how much I love her.”

The couple recently ended their first engagement in July.

Tara Reid Gets Engaged, Married In Same Day

American Reunion actress Tara Reid and gone and gotten herself engaged and married – all in the same day!

The 35-year-old actress married Danish businessman Michael Lilleund on Saturday (August 13).

“I just got engaged!” she tweeted. Just hours later, she informed her followers that she also just took a walk down the aisle. “Just got married in Greece. I love being a wife.”

Ricki Lake Is Engaged!

Ricki Lake announced on Twitter yesterday that she will be getting married once again to beau Christian Evans.

The 42-year-old actress and talk show host said, “Thrilled to share some happy news with you… I’m engaged! The cat is out of the bag. Phew! I’m terrible at keeping secrets.”

Lake’s rep tells Us Weekly: “Yes, she is engaged. [Evans] proposed while they were on vacation in Spain.”
