Jason Lee And His Wife Expecting Another Baby!

‘Alvin and the Chipmunks‘ star Jason Lee and his wife Ceren are expecting another baby!  Jason confirmed that they are expecting a baby boy this June!

Jason and Ceren already share a daughter, Casper, 3, and Jason is also dad to Pilot, 8.

Jason previously shared his secret to great parenting:

“I think the greatest success I’ve had as a parent is treating my kids like they’re my friends, in that I kind of look at it like they’re just like us but smaller, and they have points of view, feelings, opinions. They have things to say. They get upset and frustrated just like we do when things don’t go our way. My son is very mature for his age and he’s very much his own little dude. And he comes to me and says, “Dad, I’m having a hard time with this.” And I say, “Okay. Well, let’s talk about it.” I think if you open up dialog with your kids it does enormous things versus sort of just treating them as kids. And all of those weird things that have trickled over from generation to generation from my mom’s era, which was kids are to be seen and not heard, all that weird stuff that still has trickled over into this generation even. I try to do everything but that. And as a result, we feel like we’re a part of a family, a group. And it’s done a lot for their character, absolutely.”

Congrats to the expanding Lee family!

Hank Baskett Is In Awe Of Kendra Wilkinson’s Mothering Skills

Reality star Hank Baskett is making the leap to acting in the new web series ‘Super Moms‘ and he shared that the project just strengthens his respect and admiration for his wife Kendra Wilkinson and his own mom.

“I’m like the biggest mama’s boy you’ll ever meet.  I think this is a message to all moms out there, from the director and the producer and everybody behind this, saying, ‘Thank you. We know what you do, we know that you work all day and then you still know how to take care of the family.’ It’s just saying moms are secretly superheroes because of all they go through.”

Hank gushed that Kendra is a dedicated mother:

“I believe she does go above and beyond when it comes to being a mom because she doesn’t want to be known as that quote-unquote celebrity that just passes her kid off.  Last night, I shot a little video of her. At the end of a long day — she filmed some stuff yesterday — she was sitting in front of an easel where we do letters and shapes and numbers and she was teaching him stuff. That’s just the way she is. She wants to be hands-on, every part,”

He also shared that Kendra is very involved in helping him with auditions and more:

“Oh my goodness, no casting director can hold a candle to her when it comes to being critical.  Whenever I have an audition or as with Super Moms, the script, she comes home and makes me practice. I say one word, and she’s like, ‘No, do it again.’”

Ethan Hawke Describes Time After Divorce As “The Black Years”

Actor Ethan Hawke may have a great life now, but he tells  The Guardian that his life after divorce from Uma Thurman in 2004 wasn’t the best.

He said, “I call it the black years. It was really difficult. It was difficult in ways I couldn’t even see at the time. There was the obvious way in which it was difficult – the death of a dream, the inability to parent in the way that you want to. But for me it was – what’s that Dante quote? ‘At the midpoint of my life, I’ve come to the part of the forest where the straight way is lost.’ Nothing teaches you like getting leveled. And I got leveled in my early 30s.”

Hawke, 41, added, “Nothing went exactly the way I thought it would. Wait a second: love isn’t real and, holy s**t, I put all this energy into not making the same mistake my parents did and I just re-enacted them all! I thought I was so much smarter than everybody. And I’m not.”

To Ethan, age had a lot to do with it. “I’m really the right age now. I like being home. When Mia was born, I was 27. It was three years after Reality Bites came out. I look at pictures of myself and wonder: what was I thinking?” What was he thinking? “I think I thought when I was younger that I would, like, get things and then it would all be easy. You’d be able to walk whatever road you wanted and then sadly you would start having arthritis, but by then you’d have kids and everything would be fine. I didn’t really understand what a meandering road adulthood is.”
