Celebrity moms hit the blue carpet last night for the Critics’ Choice Awards in Santa Monica to show off their best awards season fashions. And a few of them, like Charlize Theron and Mayim Bialik, even took home an award!
There’s no doubt that Bryce Dallas Howard takes after her dad, Ron Howard, in the talent department, but she is also following in his footsteps when it comes to parenting. The actress shared that she and her husband Seth Gabel are trying to raise their kids the way her parents raised her – out of the media spotlight.
Celebrity parents were killing it on the red carpet this past week! Everyone from Melissa McCarthy to Jude Law to Chris Pratt and more were spotted attending movie premiers and more!

As I’m sure everyone knows by now, it’s not easy trying to lose your baby weight in record time after gaining it after nine full months of pregnancy. It took me well over a year to lose my baby weight both times while I was pregnant and I’m sure that there are many mothers out there that can relate, too. According to actress and celebrity mom Bryce Dallas Howard, she too is taking her time in trying to shed her baby weight off and at the same time is lashing out at her critics at the same time. Here’s what we’re reading:
“People are so vicious,” Bryce said about the snarky comments. “I now know to stay away from stuff that I used to see on the Internet. I don’t go online and read stories about myself anymore. People were picking on me when I did the Spiderman 3 press tour literally just 14 days after I gave birth.
“I can’t be in that headspace. I just don’t look myself up. I had a baby, that isn’t going to change, so I ignore things so I can be in my own little bubble.”
Bryce is totally right here in sometimes you just need to block out the critics, create your own little bubble and concentrate on your health and happiness. Kudos to Bryce for putting her family and their priorities first.

Bryce Dallas Howard hit the red carpet this week for the premiere of “Call Me Crazy”, a short film about a young law student dealing with a schizophrenia diagnosis. Bryce shared that mental illness has a place close to her heart because she suffered from post partum depression after the birth of her son, Theo, 5.
Bryce shared, “It went untreated for eighteen months because I was just so ashamed and frightened. I didn’t know what it meant and didn’t know what happened to me. Getting to have an opportunity to tell a story that is about mental illness and how it affects one’s self and one’s community was really something that really meant a lot to me.”
Bryce gave birth to her second child, a daughter named Beatrice, last year. She says that this time around her post-birth experience was much different. “I had family around me constantly, I had friends around me constantly, professionals supporting me through that, and I feel really grateful. I couldn’t have done it otherwise. You can’t raise kids alone, you can’t heal alone. — you really need a community.”
