‘Girl Next Door’ Bridget Marquardt Freezes Her Eggs

Former Girl Next Door Bridget Marquardt is not taking any chances when it comes to having children.

“When I was 34 I went and had my eggs harvested,” she told Us Weekly at the Josie Stevens Loves J. Valentine Fashion Show in Hollywood Wednesday. “Looking back I was like, ‘It was easy,’ but it wasn’t that easy. It’s a lot of medication, a lot of hormones. You have to inject yourself in the stomach and I’m so terrified of needles! It was a difficult thing for me to do.”

Bridget made the decision while living in the Playboy mansion.

“Holly [Madison] and Hef were obviously the main relationship. We weren’t allowed to date or anything like that,” she explained. “I wanted to have a little bit of insurance policy and a little extra time.”

And even though she’s been dating Nick Carpenter since 2008, Marquardt has no regrets of the procedure.

“I think that it was 100% worth it,” she told Us. “I don’t feel that clock ticking. I’m not really worried about it. At the same time I would like to have kids someday, but I’m not one of those people who’s dying to have kids. If it doesn’t happen or if I decide to adopt later, that’s fine, too.”
