Kate Gosselin's Nanny Quits – Says She's Too Controlling

Reality mom Kate Gosselin has reportedly drove her nanny to quit. According to Life & Style, Kate is a bit of a control freak and has driven several nannies to leave her employ.

Kate is not the easiest person to deal with.  She drove Ariel insane. Kate’s controlling and a neat freak. No wonder Ariel quit.”

She has gone through about 11 nannies and tons of helpers in the past few years.

Shifts can last up to 24 hours, and you have to go on trips with the family. Sleepovers are often required, and there is no set schedule with days off. You work when Kate says she needs you to work.”

I don’t know what kind of person Kate is like as an employer, but that last paragraph sounds like pretty standard stuff expected of celebrity nannies – nothing outrageous stands out to me.  Are you a fan of Kate’s reality shows? Do you think she comes off as a difficult person?

Celebrity Baby Birthday: Deacon Phillippe

Deacon Phillipe, son of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, is celebrating his 7th birthday today!  I absolutely love how their daughter Ava looks just like Reese and Deacon is Ryan’s “mini-me” – especially after he cut his hair really short.

Recently Deacon was spotted sporting some type of brace/cast on his leg – hopefully it won’t put a damper on the day’s festivities!

Happy Birthday Deacon!  We hope you have a fabulous day today!

Marissa Jaret Winokur Tries To Balance Work And Motherhood

Along with her new duties at “The Talk” , Marissa Jaret Winokur has started blogging, too.  She is going through the same struggle as man other working moms: how to find a balance between work and home. She writes:

As I sit to start my first mommy blog (not to be confused with my dieting blog … that didn’t work, I never lost weight!) you have to know that I have had a hard time finding the time and place to even type this.

Then I realized that is exactly what I need to blog about: We talk about the “balancing act of motherhood,” but has anyone really figured it out yet?! If so, please comment down below. (Please, only say nice things because I read the comments…)

Here’s my situation: I have now started a new job as a co-host on The Talk! This will really be my first full-time job since my son Zev was born in July 2008…

All you need to know is that I’ve been a full-time mom for the past year-and-a-half, and now I am starting a full-time job — and I am totally freaking out!!!

I find that I am being pulled in so many directions. I call it the 25 percent club. It’s like I am only 25 percent available for everything I do. My husband gets 25 percent. My son gets 25 percent. My job gets 25 perfect. And I get 25 percent. THAT IS NOT GOOD!!!

So what do we women do?!

Do you have any advice?  Were you able to stay at home with your kids?  If not, were/are you able to find any sort of balance (or sanity)?

Have you checked out “The Talk” yet?

Celebrity Baby Names Of The Day

Sean and Christine Astin

  • Alexandra, 13
  • Elizabeth, 8,
  • Isabella, 5

People did a nice piece on Sean, his family, and his career. Pretty interesting life it seems…a good balance of celebrity and family. People don’t know how good it is to have kids and even when you do sometimes it’s tough to recognize with the stresses of daily life.

Love the closing quote…sound familiar to anyone out there???

“There’s no balance right now, it’s just a free-for-all, and I’m trying to survive,” he jokes of his hectic life. “But I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
