Ellen Degeneres Is Ready For A Baby

It looks like Ellen DeGeneres is ready to become a celebrity mom! Rumor has it that she and her partner Portia De Rossi are having extreme baby fever and are ready to start a family on their own. Sources say that Portia has finally convinced Ellen that the two should have a child together.

“Portia put the baby issue on the back burner for years knowing Ellen wasn’t altogether receptive,” a friend says, according to reports. “I think Ellen has had misgivings about chasing after a young one when she’ll be into her 60s. But Portia turns 40 in January, and in the end, Ellen loves Portia with all her heart. If a baby is that important to Portia, Ellen can’t say no to her.”

“Now the biggest question is who the male donor will be,” said the friend. “But once they clear all the hurdles, next year is going to be the year for them. Portia has assured Ellen she doesn’t need to slow down one bit,” the friend says. “Portia loves her acting career, but it’s a small part of her life. What she wants most is happiness with Ellen and sharing their love with a child.”

Here’s hoping they’ll have their baby soon. Fingers crossed!

RHONJ’s Jacqueline Laurita Reveals That Her Son Has Autism

Well here is a story line that is definitely not scripted from The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Housewife Jacqueline Laurita has revealed that her 3-year-old son Nicholas has autism. After realizing that her son had delayed motor skills and wouldn’t respond to his name when called, Jacqueline visited several doctors with him until she got the diagnosis that he was autistic.

“I worry about him being independent when he’s older,” admits Jacqueline to People Magazine, who is also mom to Ashlee, 21, and C.J., 10. “I spend all my time researching what we can do for him.”

Adds her husband Chris: “You never want to think that your child isn’t perfectly healthy. We didn’t want to believe it was true.”

From what we’re hearing, Katie’s ex Tom Cruise has allegedly lost about 14lbs post break-up, but it looks like Katie is doing just fine. There’s no denying that she’s moving forward with her life and is completely happy with the way things are going. And as they say, happy parents make happy kids! 🙂

Gwen Stefani Admits That Her Children Are A Lot Of Work

Gwen Stefani is pretty much saying what we’ve all been thinking for years now: children are a lot of work! Even when you have special care that includes nannies and housekeepers, it’s no walk in the park raising a family, especially if you are has hands-on as Gwen with her two boys, Kingston, and Zuma. The rocker mom has also said that recording her new studio album with her band, No Doubt, has been a great break from being “a mom,” even if that means for just a little while. Here’s what she tells Us Weekly:

“I don’t think [parenthood has] mellowed us out, but priorities have to change. Before, it was unspoken that the band was the No. 1 thing; there was not a girlfriend or someone else that could be before the band. It wasn’t even something we discussed, it just was what it was. But we’re at a stage where we don’t have to be like that anymore; we can kind of do this when we want to do it.”

“Like today, for instance, I told them, ‘I cannot do twelve-hour days anymore, stop it!’ I just missed Kingston and Zuma going to sleep. But I get to talk to you, and it’s actually a nice break — my kids are so much work. No Spider-Man for me tonight, but that’s okay. I’ll take a break.”
