Playtex is recalling more than 300,000 of its Hip Hammock infant carriers for a potential fall hazard. The buckles on the waist and shoulder straps can crack or break, posing a fall hazard to the child.
Playtex has received 87 reports of the buckles cracking or breaking and two reports of injuries.
The carriers were sold nationwide at Walmart, Target and more.
Customers should stop using the carrier and contact the company for a full refund. Playtex at (800) 522-8230 or online at www.playtexproducts.com.
If you bought your artificial tree at the local Menard’s store then you’ll want to read about this product recall! Nearly 2,000 pre-lit trees are being recalled for potential fire, burn and shock hazards. The electrical components of the tree’s light strings can overheat and melt, posing fire, burn, and shock hazards to consumers.
The tress in question are the Twinkling Pine pre-lit artificial Christmas trees sold under the Enchanted Forrest brand. The trees stand 7 ½ feet tall. They have 400 champagne-colored, slow-twinkling LED lights and a green metal stand. Model number 287-1261.
The trees were sold exclusively at Menard’s from September 2013 – November 2013 and sold for $300.
Menards has received two reports of the tree’s light strings overheating, melting or smoking, but no injuries have been reported.
Doodlebutt is recalling approximately 1,500 of its Jelly BeadZ Jumbo BeadZ and Magic Growing Fruity fun toys for a serious ingestion hazard. These soft and colorful products can be mistaken by a child for edible candy. When swallowed, they expand inside a child’s body and can cause intestinal obstructions, resulting in severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration and could be life threatening.
The toys were sold on Amazon from February 2012-September 2013 and retailed around $9.
No incidents have been reported.
