Celebrity Baby Birthdays: Phinnaeus & Hazel Moder And Jaya Dern-Harper

Three celebrity kids are celebrating their birthdays today – and all three are turning the same age.

Laura Dern and Ben Harper are celebrating daughter Jaya’s 6th birthday today. Laura is a celebrity “baby” herself – her parents are Bruce Dern and Diane Ladd.

Phinnaeus and Hazel Moder, twin children of Julia Roberts and husband Danny Moder, also celebrate turning 6 today!

We apologize for the old pictures of Julia’s kids – she is one protective mama (they also live in New Mexico) and photos are hard to come by (without a hefty extra fee).

Julia Roberts' Twins Ended Family Feud

We’ve heard of babies or children bringing families back together before, and that’s exactly what happened when Julia Roberts’ twins in 2004 helped mend a long time family feud with her actor brother Eric.

The feud began in the 1990’s and the two “stopped talking” for several years.  Eric admits he sensed the tension disappear after Julia welcomed her twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, with hubby Danny Moder.  He tells Access Hollywood (via Contact Music),

“We’re brother and sister and we both have really strong opinions about things, so it’s a lot of ‘f**k you,’ ‘no, f**k you’ and hanging up the phone. But it got so blown out of proportion. We stopped talking and then with the birth of the twins we started talking again. Now we talk almost every day. I like her.”

Julia Roberts Talks Beauty & Motherhood

Despite a new gig with Lancome, the mother-of-three, 42, admitted that there are areas of her beauty routine that could use some improvement, “I think I have to stand up straighter and wash my face more,” she said.

Meanwhile, fresh from her Eat, Pray, Love shoot in which she plays writer Elizabeth Gilbert on her soul-searching trip through Italy, India and Indonesia Julia admitted, “It was quite a huge undertaking.

“It was a little bit daunting, dragging three little kids around the world, but well worth it,” she said, referring to her three children, the oldest of whom are five-year-old twins.

“It was really like the acting Olympics,” continued Julia. “It’s been a long time since I’ve had a full-time acting job. I am really glad that I made the decision to go off and do that movie. I hope that Liz [Gilbert] really likes it more than anything,” said Julia.

“She’s a really interesting woman. I’m pretty fascinated by her, and I think a lot of people relate to her. So that’s the greatest challenge [with] a book that’s so well-known: You want people to see the movie and have that same sense of interest and comfort that they got from reading the book.”

Julia is excited about taking a hands-on approach to her role with Lancôme, “I get all these things to play with and test and give my opinion about,” she said.

“And it’s quite exciting without having to invest all of myself in how I look because they did come to me as me, which is a pretty casual mom. But you know, it’s nice to up your game a little bit.”

Have children changed her beauty regimen? “It kind of comes to a screeching halt,” she admitted. “At a certain point in the future, I’ll pick it back up again.

“I think the nice thing about getting older is it forces you in a way to take a greater interest in your [beauty] regime. And so it’s a good moment for me to join forces with people who can help me,” she said, laughing.
