Getting the doctor can sometimes seem like an impossible mission. Sure, you always seem to find time for the kids, of course, and that’s a priority, but in the throws of life, sometimes taking care of yourself seems to take a backseat. Which doctor do I have to see? When I can get an appointment? When can I find the time to get over there? All of these questions really come into play and make the whole process a real drag.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could see a great doctor right away from the comfort of your own home?

It’s amazing…and so easy. You simply log in, set up your account in minutes, and start looking for a doctor. There are are a lot to choose from, with full profiles to take a look at with all the background info you need and expect. The site even says which doctor is online for an immediate visit and who you would have to wait a bit for. Once you select a doctor, it’s easy. You connect right away (via a video program download) to and start talking, just like in an office. My doctor was great…she listened and asked all the questions you would expect. Once she came to a conclusion, we logged off and I immediately had a message waiting for me with a full PDF summary of the visit and recommended actions. She even sent the prescription to my pharmacy! It even keeps track of all your visits and just about everything you need. Find the doc, talking with the doc, and getting the diagnosis and even my prescription is as pleasurable as you could imagine. It’s a home run…and I didn’t even have to put on pants!
You’re likely all into it at this point, but you’re also likely asking yourself “what does this cost exactly?” Convenience is one thing, but I’m not taking out a loan for it. It’s the million dollar question as always. First of all, your insurance very well may cover it. If not, the answer is only $49 a doctor visit, $25 for a nutritionist/dietitian, and $79 for a behavioral health therapist. That’s cheaper than my copay at the hospital ER or neighborhood urgent care clinic. It’s kind of a no-brainer, isn’t it?
Don’t you want to make your life easier??? Well, guess what, this is a pretty amazing way to do it. Small steps, people, small yet important steps.
You’re hooked, I know. Well you can find out all about the Amwell Experience right here.
