Actress Keri Russell has been starring in the hit series “The American”, which shoots close to home and allows her more time with her kids. In a new interview with Capitol File magazine, she dishes on her kids, River, 6, and Willa, 2.
Keri explains that she doesn’t use the word nanny for those who help care for her kids. “I tend to think I can do everything myself. I don’t even like the word nanny, so I call them babysitters. Is that weird? I recently read A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway, documenting a time in Paris when Hemingway and his wife were just starting out. They were totally destitute—literally, they had no money—and even they had a sitter!”
Keri’s job shoots in Brooklyn, where she and her family live, and she loves the convenience, “I ride my bike to work. It looks a lot like Washington, DC, and is much closer to my family. It’s the perfect job for a working mom.”
