Kensington Palace is sharing the details for Prince George’s christening and it’s a beautiful nod to the late Princess Diana. Duchess Catherine and Duke William (aka Kate Middleton and Prince William) have chosen October 23rd as the big day.
Prince George will be christened at the chapel in St. James Palace at 3 p.m. and will last around 45 minutes. The Archbishop of Canterbury will conduct the service. The family in attendance will be Queen Elizabeth and husband Prince Philip, Prince Charles and wife Camilla, Prince Harry, as well as Kate’s family.
The St. James Palace chapel is where Princess Diana’s coffin rested for a week before she was buried. It’s not open to the public. A royal spokesman explained, “It was the couple’s personal preference of where they wanted the service. It’s a lovely chapel, it has a warm feeling.”
