Junk Food After Cancer


There’s nothing we love like a celeb who keeps it real, and mom of one (with another on the way via surrogate!) Giuliana Rancic (with husband Bill Rancic) is definitely in that group. In addition sharing her painful and exuberant journey to parenthood with the world, we’ve watched as this role model suffered through one of life’s most harrowing challenges–cancer.

But how is the Fashion Police star doing her part in keeping a happy home and family life for son Duke, her hubby, and the baby on the way? According to an interview with HuffPostLive, it’s about actually enjoying life. And for this previously gym-obsessed, whole-grain munching mama, that means more junk food and less exercise. Sound ironic? Giuliana explains:

“What’s so funny is I’ve changed it quite drastically, the way I live and what I eat and how I exercise, but the opposite way you would think. Before I got the breast cancer I was actually pretty diligent about my diet and what I ate and I tried to eat very healthy foods and whole grains and tried to exercise every day.”

She goes on to say, “I think you go one of two ways. Some people, I think it was Christina Applegate who said that she became very diligent about her health afterwards … I kinda went the other way. On my way here I ate a sandwich in the car; I eat lots of bread and different things and I don’t exercise as much.”
