With St. Patrick’s Day just a day away, expectant celebrity mom Busy Phillips shared a few party tips for planning a kid-friendly menu. Busy, due with baby #2 soon, also dished on her favorite St. Patrick’s Day drinks.
Busy tells I’m Not Obsessed her best tips for putting together a dinner party when you have kids in tow. “I totally understand the stress of planning parties when you have little ones running around, so I like to keep it simple. My husband is really the chef in our house, so when he isn’t around to cook, pre-made, pre-mixed, and ready-to-serve is the way I do it. Instead of spending hours in the kitchen, I just make the store bought stuff look pretty. Lots of stores have great pre-made options ready to go and after all, it’s really just about the presentation, and an opportunity to use your fancy plates. Serving up your favorite dips and sauces in beautiful bowls and plates with a crudité plate from the market can go a long way. Plus, these finger foods are often family friendly, so parents and kids will be happy with the same menu.”
As for her favorite drinks, Busy loves a good Bacardi, “For drinks, Bacardi Classic Cocktails Light makes it SO easy — just pour over ice and you have delicious BACARDÍ cocktails for your guests. The Bacardi Classic Cocktails Light Mojito is perfect for St. Patty’s day. Garnish with some little fresh mint.”
