Product Recall:
Youth Snorkeling Masks Recalled Due to Laceration Hazard

Today’s recall is for the little swimmers in your life! U.S. Divers and Aqua Lung Sport brand youth snorkeling masks are being recalled for possible laceration hazards.

From the CPSC, “Notches in the tempered glass can cause the lens to break under certain water pressure, posing a laceration hazard to the user.”

There have been nine reports of the lens cracking or breaking, including three reports of the minor cuts and scratches to the face.

More than 100,000 units were sold at sporting goods stores nationwide and also online at Amazon and other Internet retailers between March 2011 through July 2012 for about $10 individually and $30 as a set.
