And Our Mom Quote Of The Day

“We’re husband and wife, but we’re also best friends, and it’s funny because a lot of people, when they have kids, they put the baby first, and the marriage second,” says the 37-year-old breast-cancer survivor. “That works for some people. For us, I find, we put our marriage first and our child second, because the best thing we can do for him is have a strong marriage.”

Giuliana Rancic sure does have a lot of good points in what she says, although I’m sure there are going to be a lot of parents out there that might think otherwise. Tell us, what do you think should come first in life: marriage or children? That’s a tough one, isn’t it? As much as I love my husband, if there was a fire in my house, I think I’d grab my babies first, but that’s just me.

Guiliana is 100% correct! Good for her for taking this stance. The children need a strong solid family unit to grow up in. That begins with a healthy strong marriage. I am proud to say that my husband and I put God first, our relationship second and then come the kids. I am not ashamed to say this. We love our children and they have a happy secure home and a good example of what their future can be.

You would think that someone who waited so long to have a child would have a different mindset. I get what she is saying but the child always comes first- that baby, and every other baby, did not ask to be here and if you decided they shold be here then they should be #1 above all! With or without my husband, my son NEEDS me to make him #1.
