Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have called it quits, ending their engagement. The celebrity couple shared that their parting is amicable and they will remain close friends. There has been a lot of speculation about the breakup, and it sounds like the tipping point was when Britney decided she wanted more kids, but Jason does not.
Britney and Jason released statements about their split, with Jason vowing to continue to be a part of Jayden and Sean’s lives. “Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement. I’ll always adore him and we will remain great friends.” Jason added, “As this chapter ends for us a new one begins. I love and cherish her and her boys and we will be close forever.”
According to TMZ, Britney, 31, is hoping for more kids down the road, but Jason, 41, wanted to focus on his business and felt Britney’s boys were enough for them. The two were in different places on the subject and couldn’t find a compromise, so they decided to call it quits and be friends.
Britney also announced this week that she won’t be returning for another season of The X Factor.
