The divorce of Camille Grammer and Kelsey Grammer has been anything but smooth sailing. The two, who are still not officially done with their divorce proceedings, even though Kelsey is now remarried to Kayte Walsh, have been struggling to communicate and it’s now become a hardship on the kids. During an appearance on Anderson Live, Camille shared the heartbreaking reality of trying to co-parent with a hostile ex.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star claims that her kids, Mason and Jude, aren’t allowed to say her name in their dad’s house. “They’re not allowed to same my name in the house. These poor kids, my daughter and my son, can’t say my name in their father’s house. I think they can say ‘Mom’ or ‘The other household.’ But they can’t say my name. They can’t say ‘Camille.’ ”
Camille also shared that co-parenting with Kelsey is not as amicable as other Hollywood families (Reese and Ryan, for example). “It’s very difficult to co-parent with somebody that won’t speak to you, text you or email you. I’ve reached out to him. I think it’s very important to be amicable to raise children, and he refuses to. There’s just so much I can do at this point.”
Camille says their communication comes through lawyers. “It’s usually through lawyers. So, we are spending a fortune just to try to co-parent, which is ridiculous.”
That’s so sad for the kids. The adults aren’t the ones getting hurt, it’s their children. Hopefully these two can slowly get to a place of positivity for their kids’ sake.
