It seems that new mom Adele has been so busy snuggling and loving on her new baby boy that she forgot to file his paperwork! Reports confirm today that new parents are required to “register” their children within 42 days, but so far neither Adele or Simon Konecki have been in to take care of it since his birth, 51 days ago.
The Sun reports that the fine is approximately $1300 for failing to report on time and that the registrar can also be reprimanded for it, although it’s not a very serious crime.
A source tells the outlet, “Cops are hardly going to be banging on their door tomorrow and it’s probably just an oversight on their part. Most parents register their baby within a couple of weeks because it’s a nice thing to do – and because there’s a maximum fine of £1,000 if they don’t. There’s loads of reasons why parents are late and millions of couples don’t bother for ages.”
Adele and Simon may just be trying to keep the media at bay as long as possible as to the details of their baby boy’s birth.
