A lot of her fans were left scratching their heads when chart topper Alicia Keys named her first son Egypt and now the singer is explaining why she chose the name. Here’s what she says:
“I took an important trip for myself to Egypt. There were a lot of things that needed change. I was not as experienced then, so I felt close to a breakdown. I went to Egypt, and I went alone. I sailed down the Nile and I saw the temples, the tombs, and the pyramids. It was powerful. It was veryCleopatra. When we found out I was pregnant, my husband said, ‘Egypt was such an important time for you. That really changed your life. Wouldn’t that be amazing as a name?’ Once he said that, I was like, ‘Yes.’”

My opinion is she’s correct not only was Egypt important to her but its so significant in time. I think he’s a child and it may be to late, but not only is the name and place not only have those beautiful sights, but it also had terrible plagues put upon it. I am sure she knows the history hopefully. Other than Pyramids and Tombs.
