According to new mom Hilary Duff, hitting the gym is not only great for her health and her body, but makes her a better mom, too. The actress and celebrity mom, who gave birth to her first son Luca back in March, says that she would rather workout than catch up on her sleep. Here are some highlights of her interview with Parenting Magazine:
On if she’d rather sleep or workout: “Definitely workout. I get a little bit addicted to that sore feeling, when you know you’ve been working hard. Honestly, I’m so grateful to be able to escape for an hour a day and clear my head. I feel like it makes me a better mom.”
On what she’s learned as a mom: “My proudest accomplishment so far as a mom is that I finally learned how to do a pretty badass swaddle. In the beginning, I used The Miracle Blanket. It shows you how to do a tight swaddle very easily.”
On her favorite app as a mom: “Camera Plus is my go-to mom app because I can send tons of pictures of Luca to my family and friends without them becoming public.”
