According to new mom Beyonce, she wasn’t bothered at all with the rumors that she and her hubby Jay-Z hired a surrogate to carry their baby while she “faked” her pregnancy. Blue Ivy’s mom says the rumors were simply “crazy” and even explains what happened during the video that went viral last year of her Australian interview with her bump folding in half:
“That was crazy. It wasn’t hurtful, it was just crazy. [I thought] ‘Where did they come up with this?’”
“It was a fabric that folded — does fabric not fold? Oh my gosh, so stupid.”
And while she didn’t take the rumors to heart, there is one person close to her that did: her mother, Tina Knowles. Beyonce’s mom explains:
“I thought it was very unfair and very cruel that someone would think that someone would be that diabolical to keep up a charade like that for nine months. As a mother it was painful for me to hear the crazy rumors. And I even had people ask me, which was so ridiculous.”
