Amy Poehler is mom to two sons, Archie and Abel. The funnylady stopped by David Letterman’s show to dish on motherhood.
She shares that her boys are going to eclipse her in height in no time.
“I used to see new mothers walking around with their newborns in slings, buying organic coffee with their baby in their pocket. My guys were like 25 pounds in a month. They’re going to be as tall as me by the time they’re in fifth grade.”
Amy also joked about Archie’s “inquisitive” and overprotective nature:
“He knows when I’m going out if I’m dressed up or if I have shoes on. Like today, when I was dressed up to come here, he said, ‘Where ya going?’ I said, ‘I’m going out,’ and he said, ‘With who?’”
“I said, ‘I’m going to see some friends. I didn’t want to tell him about you. I didn’t want to confuse him.”
Archie then said, “‘Put on a coat,’” Poehler recalled. “‘Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.’ I was like, ‘What? Really? You’re three!’”
