Back in 2010 Ben Affleck founded the Eastern Congo Initiative and after eight trips to the region, he wants to share his experiences with the world. Ben launched a Facebook page today to do just that. The celebrity dad shared with People that his daughters Violet and Seraphina inspire him to make a difference in the world:
“I got to a point in my life where I felt like I had been very fortunate. And I wanted to do something more with my life than just make movies and try to make money. I wanted to do something that was important to me in other ways and would serve as an example to my kids.”
“I tell them it’s important to be involved in the world in ways that help others and not just yourself.”
Ben plans to share photos and stories from his travels to Africa’s Congo region. You can check it out here.
