Janet Jackson Wants Paris To Wait Before Becoming An Actress

Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris has already landed a role in the upcoming fantasy film Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys. But if it were up to her aunt Janet Jackson, Paris would have to wait before entering the entertainment industry.

“I’d prefer for her to wait,” Janet told talk show host Jay Leno during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show. “I think she should enjoy her youth.”

“You’re only young once and [I want her] to really have a wonderful time and enjoy it,” Jackson explains. “She has the rest of her life to be an adult and she should study. She should go to school and study the craft and think about college and maybe study abroad, acting, and then when she becomes 18 she could dive into it if she wants.”

Paris seems like a lovely young lady, but she is only 13. Sadly, I don’t think anybody in that family is really looking out for her. I know Michael would not be against her acting, as he even told Barbara Walters after Prince was born that if his kids wanted to be in the business, he’d tell them to do it the right way and do it better than him. He supported them, he even had someone from UCLA working with the kids on movie making, etc, which is what they told GMA. I do hope that someone will look out for her, but something tells me they just want the kids pushed out there at every possible moment to get more attention for the family. After all, all eyes are on the Jackson kids, because they are one of Michael’s legacies. I feel badly for them, because I don’t think anybody is really giving these kids solid advice on the industry besides “GO FOR IT!”
